Confetti, 2024
182cm x 30 cm
Spray Paint, Brick
____________________________________
I enjoyed painting the skinniest section of the wall, it offered a unique challenge to make something that flowed into the area. I just wanted to have a simple, fun paint session and this accomplished that goal

Revision, 2024
182cm x 182 cm
Spray Paint, Brick
____________________________________
This is an abstract piece that I went into with the intent to express a change to my thoughts. The people that I’ve met and experiences I’ve had while traveling I found such new perspectives. I’ve noticed the effect they have had on me with how it has changed my way of thinking, feeling, and vise versa. Most of my previous work was just meant to look interesting basically to a fault where I would intentionally not let it mean anything to me. I appreciate being able to learn from another’s emotions, begin learning to express mine in my art, and be capable to affect their way of thinking with my creativity as well.

Entranced, 2024
60cm x 36 cm
Acrylic, Pouring Medium, Spray Paint on 300 GSM Glossy Paper
____________________________________
My first attempt at innovating within the art scene. Rather than fully taking on something new I combine fluid painting alongside my traditional spray paint style to create this. It depicts a couple underneath the heart with the paint and lights dancing around their embrace. With all that is going on they still maintain their gaze towards each other.

Allusion, 2023
121cm x 91 cm
Acrylic, Pouring medium, Gesso on Canvas
____________________________________
Inspired by Nick Bultman, this piece was made during an exploratory phase of my art. My original intent was something more concrete in composition but given the nature of fluid pouring I had to pivot towards a more abstract final product. Given it is an optical illusion, I felt Allusion was an ironic and fitting title for the piece.

Entangled, 2023
121cm x 91 cm
Acrylic, Pouring medium, Gold Leaf, Gesso on Canvas
____________________________________
Inspired by Nick Bultman, this piece was made during an exploratory phase of my art. I drew inspiration from Louis Vuttion’s packaging and products for my color palette. This piece was very interesting as it was my first time working with a material that inherently takes away control from the artist. I love planning and understanding exactly what will happen when my paint hits the canvas. I drew inspiration from this feeling of being caught up with this nature towards the remainder of the composition overlapping itself and nearly coming off the canvas in it’s attempts.

Blizzard Activision X Jaysunista Collaboration Chair, 2022
106cm x 60 cm
Acrylic, Neon Glowing Acrylic on Leather
____________________________________
This piece was done in collaboration with with Blizzard Activision to promote their upcoming Diablo IV game. Within the restriction of maintaining brand image for the company, I drove myself to create something unique specifically for the gaming experience. Many PC gamers use blue lights and LEDs in their setups which allows the Neon glowing paint to illuminate the design in a unique way.

Angels and Devils, 2022
91cm x 60 cm
Acrylic, Metallic Paper, Gesso on Canvas
____________________________________
This piece was brought on my my obsession at the time, Chainsaw man. In a story of devils I wanted to reference its opposition, angels. Within tradition religious works, large stained glass pieces can often be seen in religious buildings. I referenced the Volume 1 cover art and recreated to emulated a stained glass mosaic.

Another Day in Paradise, 2021
60cm x 36 cm

Growing up I found comfort in playing Minecraft. It was an outlet for me to express my creativity and too this day I still love it. I wanted to express the joy I get from playing into my passion for painting.

Space Bound, 2021
91cm x 91 cm
Spray Paint, Plaster Wall
____________________________________
The first mural I painted. A parody of Kaw’s Gone Companion and inspired by music and gaming interests of mine at the time, this piece was created alongside a video for a Youtube competition . This was made at a time that I didn’t invest myself emotionally into my work. I am happy to look back at this painting and see how much has changed.

Bubbles 2021
11.5cm x 9 cm
Acrylic on leather
____________________________________
I customized a Louis Vuitton wallet with bubbles. This was my first attempt at realism. When customizing, I think it is very important that the design compliments whatever material or object you paint on. I did not want to paint an incredibly robust image that draws attention, rather a subtle design that aligned with the the elegance of what I was given as a base.

Custom Dollars- Koi & Money Doesn’t Buy Happiness 2021
15.7cm x 6.6 cm
Acrylic on Dollar Bill
____________________________________
Two simple pieces, the first is of the koi fish. I remember watching in the first season of Avatar the last Airbender Aang being entranced by the koi fish in the north. I drew a connection to how some view money and it can blind them to other avenues of happiness. To contrast this, the second bill is almost taunting this notion where it repeats the phrase “Money Doesn’t Buy Happiness” in a concerning font. Replacing George Washington is a Kaws head attached to Mr. Krabs, someone who is the embodiment of greed.

Nightshade Custom Jordans, 2021
30cm x 9 cm
Acrylic on leather
____________________________________
Using “The world’s Blackest Paint” Musou black. I created a color palleted based on retro video game ascetics and lofi music depictions. The paint truly yielded a unique appearance to the jordan silhouette and while not durable for constant wear, looking quite interesting at a glance

Omen Valorant Gaming Chair, 2021
106cm x 60 cm
Acrylic, on Leather
____________________________________
This was my first piece attempting painting acrylics by hand. I was very intimidated by taking on a piece with so many details but found myself at ease early into the project. At a glace there are many details, once you get into it it just became shape blocking and color matching which was very relaxing. At the time Valorant had been out for a year and I played the agent Omen. I wanted a piece of my gaming setup to represent my interests. This piece later resulted in a collaboration with Blizzard Activision to promote their upcoming game, Diablo IV.

Leaves On the Vine, 2020
60cm x 36 cm
Spray Paint on 300 GSM Glossy Paper
____________________________________
This is my depiction of Iroh’s Leaves from the Vine scene in Avatar the Last Airbender. I went with more oranges and reds for the tree and darker clouds in the foreground to be fitting of his character.

Blumaan X Jaysunista Collaboration, 2020
60cm x 36 cm
Spray Paint on 150GSM Matte Paper
____________________________________
This piece was done in collaboration with BluMaan to promote their Monarch Paste Men’s Hair product. The piece was a direct recreation using my spray paint style alongside a promotional short video for the company.

Great Pyramid, 2020
60cm x 36 cm
Spray Paint on 300 GSM Glossy Paper
____________________________________
This piece was an experimentation with my scenic spray painting phase. I wanted to deviate from just doing planets and oceans in front of a skyline so I thought a pyramid would be interesting. My putting together a full principles from other aspects of spray painting I was able to put together this. Not the first but by far most viewed video which I truly appreciate the recognition it gained for my art and validated the direction I was heading in.

Love Isn’t Black & White, 2020
60cm x 36 cm
Spray Paint on 300 GSM Glossy Paper
____________________________________
This was a great inspiration for what my work was to become. I find lots of inspiration from idioms and phrases throw about. This one caught my eye as it felt very valid and something I understood how to portray. Whether a lover, friends, or family member, it’s never as simple as we make it out to be or hope. The best that can be done is hope to understand and understand thats the best we can do for each other.

Beautiful World, 2020
60cm x 36 cm
Spray Paint on 300 GSM Glossy Paper
____________________________________
An adaptation from my earlier work “Love Is in the Air” I wanted to be inclusive to everyone. Love who you want and enjoy your life. I wanted to share my support because I find it is important. Have a gay day :)

Sunset Over The Hill, 2020
60cm x 36 cm
Spray Paint on 300 GSM Glossy Paper
____________________________________
What can I say, I am a sucker for sunsets and I had never attempted a mountain painting before this piece. I sprinkled some pink in to make it feel a little whimsical.

Weight Of the World, 2020
60cm x 36 cm
Spray Paint on 300 GSM Glossy Paper
____________________________________
I made this shortly after finding online success with my spray painting. Although happy with the direction I was heading towards, at times I felt overwhelmed to create, not just new paintings but videos, photos, a website, everything. I wasn’t ready at the time and I am glad for that. I am sure I would not be where I am with art if I had succeed so early.

60 Seconds, 2020
60cm x 36 cm
Spray Paint on 300 GSM Glossy Paper
____________________________________
This painting was a performance piece and a personal test of my skills within spray paint art. I set out to create this composition in only 60 seconds and after 27 attempts I was able to accomplish this. This is one of my favorites because on the surface it comes off as simple but personally it highlighted a mastery of this craft. This was my first viral video solely off my painting skills and pushed me further towards exploring my art and who I can become as an artist.

Oh Deer, 2018
60cm x 36 cm
Spray Paint on 300 GSM Glossy Paper
____________________________________
This was just a fun one for me. A deer in the haze of a misty sunset.

Written In the Stars, 2018
60cm x 36 cm
Spray Paint on 300 GSM Glossy Paper
____________________________________
A commission for a friend of my as a gift for Valentines day. Ironically they broke of a few days before so perhaps a muffin basket would have been better. The piece depicts a couple sharing an embrace surrounded by nothing but the stars in the sky and the constellations spelling out what is right in front of them.

Eye In the Sky, 2017
60cm x 36 cm
Spray Paint on 200 GSM Matte Paper
____________________________________
Staying true to form, this was inspired based on a phrase I had heard. This was my first step in branching out and experimenting with creating a coherent and unique composition. Whether good or bad there can be a feeling that someone is there, even if just your thoughts wandering about the night.
Available for purchase. Please email Contact@Jaysunista.com for price inquiry.

Love In the Air, 2016
60cm x 36 cm
Spray Paint on 200 GSM Matte Paper
____________________________________
This was the first painting I created that I felt confident that I have created something beautiful and sparked self confidence in what I create. I don’t remember having many thoughts when I created this piece and I am at peace with that. I have always felt a strong connection to it, whether because I objectively thought it was good, the meaning behind it, or something else. I am incredibly proud of the piece remains one of my favorite works I have created. Also would like to acknowledge my senior year english teacher Ms. Murray for encouraging me to share the work in an Art & Poem book she created for the school. That was my first time sharing my work publicly and was my first early encouragement so I am very thankful to her and all she did to foster my creativity and many others.

Moon, 2016
42cm x 24 cm
Spray Paint on 200 GSM Matte Paper
____________________________________
This was my first ever attempt at spray painting art. When I was young I watched a busker paint planets and the Golden Gate Bridge. Years later, I was curious if i could do the same. Being as young as I was I only had access to black white and grey paint. Although far from perfect, I am quite proud of what direction it led me towards and keep it as a reminder of where I started my painting journy.
