I decided to take a step back from my career to travel because I was not a fan of the person I was growing into. I wanted to enjoy being around people again and just take a step out of my head and enjoy the time while I am young. I met all kinds of people and built memories to fill a lifetime. I used to view others under the assumption of good intent. People are complicated, flawed, and a bit silly; whether they are good or bad, I do not think I have experienced enough to know. If you give an inch, some will take a mile; others will be happy just to have a millimeter. You might get matched with empathy and understanding, or you might end up in a game where the pieces are in your head and the match is over it. It takes time to know who to give your heart out to; it is up to you.
